A Tribute To Kjell Öhman - Got My Mojo Workin'

Last week I posted a short video with parts of my Hammond solo on Got My Mojo Workin’ from a concert. I got a request to publish the whole song, so here it is. The original is of course by Jimmy Smith, but this is the version that Kjell Öhman used to do. Hope you’ll like it!

The autumn of 2025 marks 10 years since Kjell Öhman passed away, but his musical legacy is very much alive. He was one of Sweden’s finest musicians, arrangers, and bandleaders. A master of both the Hammond organ and piano, that has inspired generations of Swedish and international musicians and still continues to do so. His playing can be heard on thousands of recordings, and you can often recognize his playing instantly — you just know, “that has to be Kjell.” In 2016, Andreas Hellkvist put together a tribute to Kjell, that was premiered on Katalin, Uppsala. This video was recorded at that concert.
Now, for the 10th anniversary of Kjell’s passing the project was revived to honor the memory of the one and only Kjell Öhman.
