On September 12th is the annual event “Culture night” in my hometown of Uppsala. Normally the city is full of concerts, art and performances of all kinds. This year, however, the whole thing will be in digital from, mostly through livestreams.
I will be streaming 3 concerts from my new place, the Hellkvist Headquarters! Follow the link below
On Sunday August 23rd Trinity played the last church concert of this summer. Here you can watch all the songs on youtube!
I was asked by my friend and drummer Andy Miltvedt to record a song for his church, Skärgårdskyrkan Värmdö. The suggestion was “Do lord” with Billy Preston’s version as the inspiration. We recorded at my place earlier this week and here’s the result. A lot of fun!
I was supposed to do an outdoors concert today, but it got cancelled due to bad weather. One of the songs I was going to play was my arrangement of Norway’s national anthem. So, instead of doing the gig I stayed in the studio and recorded. And here’s the result. To Norway and all my norwegian friends!
Here’s a little song that materialized when trying out this leslie that I borrowed from my friend Pär Lindh. The title is simply “B3 Boogie”. The leslie is a rebuilt 770, with quite a few extra features compared to the original. More about that in another video. Meanwhile, enjoy!
I just got a new place to practice, rehearse and record, as well as storing and repairing organs and instruments. I recently also acquired an XK5 classic, to the left in the picture. The organ to the right is my B3 -70. So looking forward to spending time there!
I invited my good friend and favorite drummer Daniel Olsson to join me for the first jam. Here we’re mostly having fun. Enjoy and stay tuned for more videos!
Went on a trip down south in Sweden with Kiralina Trio for a few gigs this week. It was so fun! Gospel, soul and jazz. B3 with two leslies. Love playing with Jesper on the drums and Kiralina is such a fantastic singer and perfomer. Can’t wait to play again! Here are a few videos from the concert at Fjällstugan, Jönköping. Enjoy!
New year, new decade, new concerts! On Jan 25th, my trio opened the night at Katalin, in many ways the finest venue in my hometown of Uppsala. Following us was a soul band so we decided to make our set to get people in the greatest mood possible. One hour of non stop party jazz! It was such a blast! Here’s a compilation from the night.
