Clinics and lectures
I love sharing my knowledge, skills and experience in playing the Hammond. In today’s modern world, the origins of the instrument are easily getting lost. The Hammond sound is ubiquitous and available on almost any synth, keyboard or DAW, but being used to play on of those, one might be stunned when sitting down at a B3 or similar organ. It takes a while to get acqainted to the physical interface of drawbars and other controls. Real leslie cabinets are also quite rare on bandstands nowadays so it’s important to also show them off.
Seeing someone play the organ in its entirety is often some kind of revelation to the beholder. How the whole body with all its limbs are constantly moving across the manuals, pedals, stops and knobs.
So I do clinics at schools of different kinds, mostly music collages and such.
