The was truly one of most anticipated gigs on thill fall. Kjell Öhman, one of my biggest inspirations on the Hammond organ and also just musically in general passed away 10 years ago, almost to the day. The year after I put together a tribute project, that only did a few concerts. But it was so nice, partly to honor a person that has meant a lot to me, partly to get to play the music that made me want to play this instrument. So, at this 10 year anniversary, I decided to start it again.
The concert itself was so much fun, but what really made this evening was that Kjell’s wife Alice came to listen. Such an honor. So we got to play Alice’s Fax, a song that Kjell wrote to her, for Alice!
