First day of a tour and your drummer (who’s already subbing for your main drummer) calls in to announce he got covid. Ahhh! The panic. But after working the phones it all worked out in the best possible way. After a few calls I got the number to Martin Jonsson, one of the finest soul jazz drummers in Stockholm and Sweden in general. And, by a stroke of luck he was free that day and take the train directly to the gig. We didn’t have much time for rehearsal so we mostly just played. It was the first time we played together but it worked like a charm and I hope it won’t be the last.
