The Quadrophonic Leslie Experience

September 20, 2024

My most exciting project for the last 2 years has without a doubt been the “Quadraphonic Leslie Experience”, where I have worked with a setup connecting my B3 to 4 leslie cabinets. In the beginning, I didn’t really know where it would lead, but now it has developed and matured to the point where I couldn’t see it being anywhere else. And yet, it feels just like the beginning. Earlier this year I made a recording with newly composed music that was planned for release before the summer, but it got postponed to autumn. So stay tuned for that!

Last Saturday on September 14th I did two concerts at the concert hall of my hometown Uppsala. That particular day is very special in Uppsala. Every year, on the second Saturday of September, there is this thing called “Kulturnatten” (Culture Night). All over town, exhibitions, concerts and cultural manifestations in as music, art, theatre, food, craft are held all over the city, all day long. It is for sure one of my favorite days in Uppsala. So there is a lot of people going around to various events, and I was pleased to see that quite a few of them had found their way to experience some qudraphonic Hammond. And I was very pleased to feel that I now have reached a point where the project is mature enough to promote and export to other venues.

This was the first time I did this performance in a black box kind of hall, and I have to say, this is exactly how it should be. With the lighting, it really adds another dimension to the show. In a way it proved that I will be able to do this anywhere, and I’m really hoping to take this show on the road, both in Sweden and abroad.

Both concerts were filmed and I will put out videos from it. So far one is out on youtube and other social media. Here’s “Return of the Hero”
