“Organ party all day long” was the title of of this event. And I can assure you, it was quite an adequate description! It started out at 2pm, when guests were arriving for a national jazz organizer´s conference, hosted by Gävle jazz club. I sat there playing mostly jazz standards, while people where greeting and mingling. It went on to about 4pm, and then I oculd take an hour break. Next set began av 5pm, now for the public. Didn’t really know what to expect, but more and more people showed up and really enjoyed the music. They would make requests by putting small notes on the organ. So cute! After 2 and a half hours I had to take another break to get something to eat before the next set at 8pm. And that last set was just as intense, if not more, as people consume more beer. So it went on for another 2,5 hours and for the finale the sound guy joined in for a version of Hey Jude. All in all, 7 hours of playing, 7 hours of fun!
