Somethings (well, actually, a lot of things) you do purely for the fun of it. This was the premiere gig of ШУМ, where I play the guitar and sing. The repertoire consists solely of Soviet era rock music. The russian language and russian history has always been an interest of mine and this is a great way to immerse oneself!
