A Tribute To Kjell Öhman - I'm Walking
It’s my birthday today so I thought I’d celebrate by sharing some songs from my birthday concert last year, on May 25th 2016.
Three band were playing and this was the second, A tribute to Kjell Öhman, honoring one of my favorite organ players ever. This particular song has meant a lot to me and was among the first I learned on the organ. The block organ section is to a great deal transcribed from Kjell Öhman’s solo on the record “Live at the pawn shop”. If you haven’t heard it, check it out! Meanwhile, enjoy this version. Doing this concert really was a dream come true! I’d also like to mention that piano player Mikael Skoglund is not deliberatly left out of the picture. It just so happened that the moving camera didn’t film him on this tune. But. forttunately, you can still hear him.
