First concert of a series! This autumn I will have one night a month at Musikhuset to present different projects of mine. I’ve played here with jazz bands, blues, rock and other, but never a gospel thing. So it was time for that! It’s so fun playing with Kiralina for people that don’t really know what to expect. In the end, they are usually blown away. This duo is a power house! We had so much fun, a lot of people showed up and they were really digging it. A great start för the concert series!
I brought my Hammond XK5 classic with my 770 and 142 cabinet (which has become my standard setup when I use two leslie with the XK5). I like the combination, where the 770 provides the bottom and the body, and the 142 has the edge. The sound was just as I like it where you’re kind of ensconced in a bubble of organ.
