Today, June 17th is the national day of Iceland. An island and a country that is very dear to me. It’s been a while since I was there, and because of corona, several tours and gigs have been canceled that last years. But I hope to be back soon! Here’s a salute to all my friends over there. This folksong, Á Sprengisandi, was recommended to me by my friend Palli. The lyrics about riding across the highlands. I had the idea for the arrangement some year ago, but didn’t finish it until yesterday. Anyway, to all my dear friends – Gleðilega hátíð Íslendingar!
