Today is the national day of Iceland. It was 10 years ago that I was there for the first time and my love for this country, it’s nature and people has just grown constantly ever since. This picture is from my last visit, spending some quality time with the glacier Eyjafjallajökull. Can’t wait for the next trip. To all my Icelandic friends – Glædilega hátíð!
I will be celebrating in Uppsala with some freshly baked rúgbrauð. I also put out a few Iceland related videos. Enjoy!
The first one is just a short happy song from a concert with Eythor Ingi and band at the festival Ljosanott in September of last year. The song is Aftur heim til þín by Eythor Ingi.
Then a milestone from my perspective – on my last trip to Iceland I did my first quadraphonic concert abroad! So here’s a song form that concert, On A Quest.
One of last year’s highlights was to do a concert with Eythor Ingi at my favorite church and favorite organ. Here’s one of his songs, With you
And lastly some jazz with my quartet with Siggi Flosason. This is his tune Kremkex, a funky little nugget. Enjoy!
