For a few years I have been thinking of bringing this duo to Leksand, but we never found a good time to do it. Leksand has a very special place in my heart, as my dad lived here the last 25 years of his life, and I still go there often to celebrate holidays and other. So it really meant a lot doing this concert. As the whole tour was booked on quite a short notice, there were some concerns that it would be hard to draw a crowd, but they did show up in larger numbers than I dared to hope for.
The venue is really nice as well. I like when you can control the lighting. They also actually brought a grand piano there for this concert! That really took the whole production up a notch. This particular grand piano has once belonged to Swedish composer Lillebror Söderlund. So of course we had to play one of his songs, “En valsmelodi”.
The whole concert was also recorded so it might be up on youtube soon. Stay tuned for that!
